At this course, we will work through seven essential meteorological topics in live sessions as well as asynchronous learning in between the live sessions. You will learn to use the satellite imagery in combination with other meteorological data sources in order to interpret mid-latitude cyclones, fronts, frontal sub-structures, mesoscale features in cold air, summer convection, atmospheric wave phenomena and shallow clouds.
The online phase of the course will run 23 October – 3 December. Selected participants will continue to the residence phase of the course, taking place at EUMETSAT Headquarters in Darmstadt, 4-8 December.
